The Joy of Entertainment

It was around the 20th century, that flims started being produced as visual entertainment for people to enjoy. Sound was not included in these films, they were simply pictures put together to create a visual story. In the late 1920s, sound was added to the motion pictures, truly inciting people's imaginations to come to life. Thousands of people would rush to the movie theaters, both excited and in love with the ability to listen to sound while watching a story. After the 1950s, color television became more widespread, exactly what we still watch toady! Now, movies are produced with moer detail than ever. Telling stories though motion pictures has capured America as an entertaining escape from reality. For a few hours, all of the stress, and problems in someone's life can be forgotten.

I love all stories, especially those that are portrayed through books, movies, and plays. AlthoughI have always been most passionate about movies, I absolutely adore the idea of immersing

myself in a book and becoming the character. Feeling every emotion that the character feels, and experiening the character's life. In movies and plays, while the audience gets to immerse themselves in character's world, so does the actor. As some books turn into movies...sometimes I will take a few lines from a character in a book, and recite them as if I were that character. Acting has always been a passion of mine and that is true for many people all around the world. To me, having the ability to make people feel everything that you feel, everything that the characters feel, and everything that the story is telling, would be the best job in the world.

Everyone loves entertainment in one form or another. Whether it is reading a book, watching a movie, or watching a play, entertainment provides endless enjoyment. As acting remains a grueling job, and a very large responsibility, it touches the hearts of millions of people. Motion pictures have come a long way and today, movies are now a huge part of American culture and society, as they are also beloved around the entire world.
