Hi! My name is Tara Pattilachan, and I'm a new blogger for the Music section. I've introduced a new edition, which is based around different music and culture around the world. Where could be the best place to start? The United States of America, of course! The U.S. has served as an inspiration to many other music cultures around the world with the introduction of Jazz, Blues, Country, and much more. However, today's main topic of interest is EDM - or electronic dance music.
As odd as it sounds, we hear EDM a lot everyday. If the name Skrillex, Diplo, Zedd, deadmau5, and/or Martin Garrix sounds familiar to you, then you're already experienced that magic of EDM. Its catchy beats will never allow you to focus on your Chemistry homework, such as the popular song "Where Are Ü Now" featuring Justin Bieber, or the legendary "Turn Down for What" by DJ Snake and Lil Jon. Many of today's mainstream songs include EDM as the background template for artists to work on, and the method has been a huge, promising success. Since then, the EDM trend has spread like a virus to several parts of the world, also becoming popularized there. If you're new to EDM in the United States, here's a song from 2015 which is fortunately, still trendy.
