Everybody wants to be carefree and take life as it comes, but that’s just not possible all of time. Between schoolwork and internships it’s hard to feel like there is ever time to just stop and smell the roses. But if you play your cards right, you can do more often if your organized. The key to having down time is organization. If you ever sit down and take the time to organize your week you’ll more than likely find that you have more free time than you thought you did. My key to scheduling my time as efficiently as possible is to use daily planers and calendars. Personal planners come in a variety of sizes, styles, and colors, so not only are they lifesavers but they’re also cute! Here are a few of my favorite planners on the market:
1. Erin Condren Life Planner ($50-$75)
The Erin Condren Life Planner ($50-$75) is the mother of all planners and the most expensive on this list… but you get what you pay for. This custom planner comes with removable covers that you can change whenever you decide to. In horizontal or vertical layout, you can arrange your week into three sections, morning, day, and night. There are also sections to schedule your meals, exercise, highlight daily notes, and other activities so you can literally plan every aspect of your day. The Lily Pultzer agenda ($28) with its bright colorful floral design cover, serves as a stylish way to keep track of your busy schedule. Sold in four sizes: small, medium, large, and jumbo. The agenda features an elastic band closure, front pocket, tabs, a sticker page, and weekly and monthly calendar pages. This planner is great if you love cute patterns but aren’t a fan of lugging around a heavy planner. It’s hard cover is durable and guaranteed to last all year.
3. Jonathan Adler Daily Planner ($19.95)
The Jonathan Adler Daily Planner ($19.95), with its signature pattern, is a 17-month agenda complete with weekly and monthly calendar pages as well as sections for dates to remember, contact information, and notes! Not only is this agenda a fun and visually appealing, it also contains day-by-day spaces for jotting detailed notes, a section for keeping track of important dates, an address book, and a pocket folder for business cards. It truly is a perfect blend of fashionable and functional.
4. Moleskin Daily ($12)
The Moleskin Daily ($12) is the smallest and the cheapest planner on the list. But don’t let that lead you to believe that this planner won’t be effective in keeping your schedule organized. Throw this planner in your purse, backpack, or pocket. It is small enough to tote around but is not too to write in. In an assortment of colors to chose from, one thing that makes this planner stand out is that each day has a it’s own page to write events and notes. Though it’s not as fancy as some of the other planners on this list, it will definitely fit in with your budget.
Hopefully these options gave you the inspiration to find your perfect planner to fit your personal needs!
