DIY Dream Catcher
Supplies:
Wooden or metal hoop
Lacing or string
Feathers
Glitter (optional)
Beads
Fabric
Scissors
Glue
First, carefully apply glue all around the hoop. Then, place an appropriate amount of fabric around the hoop. Wrap the fabric tightly around the hoop. Make sure that a small part of the end of the fabric overlaps where the fabric begins.
Next, to start weaving the web of the dream catcher, tie a knot around one area of the hoop with the string to secure. Wrap the string diagonally across the hoop and tie knots around different locations on the hoop. As the web forms, you can tie the string to another string to make smaller sections.
When you are satisfied with your web, make a loop with another piece of string and tie it to the top of the dream catcher so you are able to hang it.
Finally, you can decorate! This is where your creativity can emerge. Some ideas include, tying or braiding different fabrics to hang from your dream catcher. Different colored and textured fabrics add a unique look. You can also add beads, sprinkle glitter, and glue feathers onto your dream catcher. Whatever your heart desires, you should use! Create it by using your own style, and adding in your own personal flavor. Work it girl!
