Comicon, Vidcon, Wondercon. All of these are big conventions for popular groups. NAMM is the convention for music. Every January, musicians from around the world come to this exclusive event at the Anaheim Convention Center. I was lucky to be able to attend this exclusive weekend long event. My friend and I went to NAMM last year and this year and met so many amazing musicians and saw tons of amazing products and instruments at the booths. I performed at a few of the booths such as Pickbandz and Breedlove Guitars and I was even live broadcasted at Alert The Globe. I had the amazing opportunity to hang out with the Folk/Pop band SHEL w
ho were demonstrating DPA microphones. It's so cool to have a giant convention bringing music lovers together. Friday night was the She Rocks awards, which honored influential women in the music industry. Women ranging from Nina Strauss to Chaka Kahn were there. It's a fantastic event showcasing all of the women who have changed the music industry. The night was full of live performances and speeches from the women along with an enormous silent auction benefiting the Women's International Music Network. Overall it was a really great night, being able to see so many empowering women. 2016 NAMM was a big success and I am very excited to see what it brings next year.
