If you aren’t familiar with Hoodie Allen, I suggest you listen to “No Faith In Brooklyn” and
“No Interruption” before continuing with this article. Hoodie Allen has been a top artist in
the hip-hop industry since 2010. His latest album Happy Camper is one of the best ways to
begin 2016. His hip-hop style infuses elements of pop and rock to create a diverse album
for all music lovers. He has a raw voice, perfect for his music style. Attracting a college
audience, he speaks to the young adults who are finding themselves and becoming a true
individual. The catchy beats of each song keep you entertained throughout the entire
album. If you’re someone like me who actually listens to the lyrics, then you’ll really like this
album as he speaks about real problems and issues he’s encountered in his life. I wouldn’t
classify this as a true rap album but more of a hybrid between pop and hip-hop. Whatever
genre it truly falls under, the album is sure to gain immense popularity within the year. I’ll
be attending his concert this Wednesday at the Observatory so stay tuned for reviews on
that!
