Culture-influence Everyday Makup

Having makeup on “fleek” has become a real chore nowadays. Being of the Caucasian decent I am constantly focused on the daily task of contouring my face to have higher check bones, using eyeliner to make my eyes “pop”, and, of course, making sure that my eyebrows have been properly shaded in. Living in Arizona, it is difficult to find makeup that can withstand the torrential heat, but after years of searching, I have finally found my favorite products that suit my features.

I use the same products every day and I always go for a natural and bright look. To achieve that look, I start with a primer. I use is the SmashBox Photofinish Primer, then after apply the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation($60), which I put on with my Dior foundation brush. This foundation comes in many colors that can suit

an array of skin skins. The formula also stays well on my skin in the dry Arizona heat. After I have applied my foundation, I continue the process with applying my Anastasia Contouring Powder Kit($40). After applying a small amount of contour I proceed with using the Too Faced blush and Becca glitter powder in the pearl color. Finishing the look I throw on some Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow and lightly line the inside of my eyelids with the MAC black eyeliner, using the eyeliner lightly leaves my look still light, enhancing my eyes and making them pop. I top the look off with darkening my brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz($21).

Figuring out the way to perfect your makeup game takes time and practice. Depending on your ethnicity and culture, you need to find the products that work well with your specific features and skin type. I hope some of these products will work well for you all too!
