"Springles" Has Sprung!
To celebrate the love of spring and Sprinkles cupcakes, this blog post is solely dedicated to spring makeup that represent a specific cupcake from the fabulous Sprinkles shop. In making my decision, it was a hard choice between classic vanilla, my personal favorite- milk chocolate, or something different like their special Irish cream. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and chose a cupcake that completely screams not only spring, but also my personality, I went with the adorably pinked-out strawberry.
To get the ultimate “strawberry” cupcake look in my makeup I decided to go for a light and airy look- nothing too intense. I believe that the essence of spring is having bright pops of color that are still light and welcoming. I started off by applying my YSL foundation ($38) and followed up right after by lightly contouring my face with the Anastasia Contour Kit ($40). For the eyes, I have always been a major fan of the Urban Decay “Naked” Pallets. I chose to use the second pallet and begun with dabbing the inside corner of my eyelid with the color Virgin, then I packed the outer edges with the color Sidecar, and shaded in the middle with the color Hustle. After this, I filled in my eyebrows with my Anastasia Brow Wiz ($21) in the Taupe color. Finishing this strawberry look off I could not resist but to add a light-pink pop with the Anastasia liquid lipstick ($20) in the color Milkshake for that perfect strawberry pink.
This fun makeup perfectly mixes the strawberry Sprinkles cupcake and a fresh look for spring. Sprinkles cupcakes are not only delicious, but super fun to influence your everyday makeup. I always believe that adding a lipstick can completely change a look from being drab to fab in one simple swipe of a brush. Hopefully this will encourage you to try out strawberry-tastic looks for spring!
