Back to the 20's: Daughter at the Ace Hotel

Last Friday night, I drove up to the Ace Hotel in LA to see Daughter play. The second I walked into the theater, I was starstruck. Entering The Ace Hotel was like being transported back into the 1920's, having recently been renovated and restored to its former glory. The theater was filled with grandiose paintings and architecture. The opening band was called Wilsen, and they sounded very similar to the indie alternative sounds of Daughter. The crowd went crazy for them. I hope to see them gain more fame. When Daughter came on everyone was in wonderment. She played songs from her old and new album, which created a perfect set. The entire stadium shared in the tears from her music. All of her songs are so easy to connect with, and you can't help but cry and sing along. Everyone was so upset at the end, but thankfully she came back for two encores leaving us with a beautiful song from the new album. It was such a lovely concert and I will never forget my night at the amazing Ace Hotel.
